The second edition of the Campus Experience Fundación Real Madrid, in association with Magic Costa Blanca Hotels & Resorts, has been presented at the Magic Robin Hood resort located in l'Alfàs del Pi, which will be held from 4 July to 26 August 2022 on the Costa Blanca.
This is the second time that the Marina Baixa has hosted this Campus Experience Real Madrid Foundation, an event that provides a unique educational leisure alternative in the area, as it is the only official Campus of the white club to be held in a holiday resort in the whole of the Peninsula.
The press conference was attended among other authorities: Joaquín Sagués, General Director of Campus Experience Real Madrid Foundation, representatives of the City Council of L'Alfàs del Pi and Benidorm, as well as members of the General Operations Management of Magic Costa Blanca Hotels&Resorts.
The vice-president of Magic Costa Blanca, Javier García, highlighted the hotel group's commitment to continue offering leisure alternatives, as "part of our philosophy is to innovate, creating new unique experiences that have a positive impact on society".
As explained by the General Manager of the Campus, Joaquín Sagués, the event has been in the pipeline for several years, but due to the pandemic it was not until 2021 that it finally became a reality.
Last year was already a success, but in 2022 they will have a large international presence. "With this type of event, the Real Madrid Foundation tries to give back to society a part of what they give to Real Madrid in the form of support", said Sagués.
From the CH2 Club, Jesús Contreras, explained the different modalities of the campus and highlighted its particularities: "It is not only a campus where you improve your technique, it also promotes values".
He also praised the facilities of Magic Robin Hood, as they allow activities of all kinds, which is an incentive for families and children.
From the City Council of Benidorm, the Councillor for Sports Mariló Cebreros, thanked the commitment of Real Madrid and Magic Costa Blanca to hold this event in the area.
Finally, the mayor Alfasino, Vicente Arques, said that "the Marina Baixa is going to become the nerve centre of a top-level sporting event, something possible thanks to public-private collaboration".
A sporting and tourist attraction for the entire area
This Campus of the Real Madrid Foundation has as a worldwide reference the Campus Experience organised in the well-known Ciudad Deportiva de Valdebebas, in Madrid, where the players of the first team of Real Madrid CF train every day.
It is therefore a first class sporting and tourist attraction for the whole province of Alicante which also serves to promote the values of sport, such as: self-discipline, respect, teamwork, initiative and effort.
After its success in the last edition, it is expected that more than a hundred children from all over the world will consolidate this Campus in 2022 as a reference among the sports campuses of the Costa Blanca.
