At Magic Costa Blanca Hotels & Resorts we are in luck. We have achieved Bioscore certification, which validates the work in sustainability for our 12 establishments, located in the provinces of Alicante and Valencia.

For the evaluation of the hotels, Bioscore has analysed, verified and audited the documentation provided by Magic Costa Blanca in the following blocks of information assessed for certification: Corporate Social Responsibility, emissions, catering, waste, energy and water.

The issues formulated in the Bioscore certification are aligned with the official international criteria ODS (Sustainable Development Goals), GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) and GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council).

Throughout this year, Magic Costa Blanca will work with Bioscore on issues such as the consumption register for each of its buildings, as well as the sustainability report, a document that makes the company's sustainability work visible to its stakeholders and society in general.

Magic accommodations join large national and international hotel chains that are already working on their sustainability with Bioscore, the first Spanish company specialising in hotels to offer sustainability certification and management software.

Cross-cutting sustainability:

Javier García, vice-president of Magic Costa Blanca stressed the importance of all the chain's establishments having this important certificate, "which demonstrates our commitment to innovate and generate a positive impact on society, always following the latest sustainability criteria". García pointed out that travellers' interest in caring for the environment has grown a lot in recent years and that sustainability, "as well as being a constant to be applied transversally in all the areas involved in our accommodation, is one of the most highly valued criteria when choosing a holiday destination. Therefore, Magic's philosophy must always guarantee the wellbeing of our guests and employees, but also contribute to improving society and having a positive impact on the planet".
