Coming soon (from 2nd April), at Nottingham Castle (located at Magic Robin Hood Resort, next to Benidorm), a new season of 'Desafío Medieval', a show with more than 40 years of history, will begin. The show, which since 1976 has been enjoyed by more than two million people (including many of the guests of the Magic Costa Blanca accommodation chain), has become a benchmark for family entertainment in the province of Alicante. After two years of pandemic, 'Desafío Medieval' invites tourists and residents to return to enjoy life, recover our customs and learn first-hand about this show, ideal for disconnecting and having fun.

Over more than 4 decades, the show that is performed in the castle has been completely renovated, and now has the latest technology and a power of 20,000 w of sound and 100,000 w of lighting in a large stage space in which the origin of the legend of Robin Hood is narrated. For an hour and a half, spectators are invited to the proclamation of John Landless as King of England, an event that will give way to exciting jousting between knights, battles and adventures with more than 20 actors and specialists, spectacular costumes and swords and a dozen thoroughbred horses.

The special feature of the event, which includes a themed dinner, is that it offers an immersive and educational experience with a high historical content framed in the Middle Ages, which makes it a perfect plan to have fun and learn with the family. In addition, thanks to its VIP passes, the Castle allows visitors to get to know 12th century England and enjoy the show from a different point of view, with the privileges of a king.

In addition to the 'Medieval Challenge', the castle, located in the Magic Robin Hood Resort complex of the Magic Costa Blanca group, is equipped to accommodate more than 1,000 people. It is, therefore, an enclosure prepared to host all kinds of celebrations such as communions or birthdays and different activities or leisure events. In fact, last Christmas the venue hosted a large synthetic skating rink and a fun horror pit during the celebration of Halloween in October.

This year, the castle will host more than 40 sessions of the popular dinner-show 'Medieval Challenge' from April up to October 2022, offering 4 shows per week during the high summer season in August, aiming to remain a reference leisure proposal among tourists and residents of the Costa Blanca.
