"The Benidorm-based hotel chain, Magic Costa Blanca, has been awarded the 2023 Chamber of Commerce Award. The Alicante Chamber of Commerce granted this award in the Tourism category to Magic, highlighting the family group's work for the sector and for the complementary offer of the province: "globally improving the offer for visitors to the destination and being fundamental for the promotion and development of tourism in Alicante".
Magic received this recognition along with seven other large companies in the province: Baleària de Dénia, Actiu de Castalla, TM Grupo Inmobiliario de Torrevieja, Panter de Callosa de Segura, Vigar de Gata de Gorgos, Nax Solutions de Alicante and Carnicerías Gombao de Elda.
Similarly, the former president of the hotel business association Hosbec, Toni Mayor, was also awarded the gold medal of the Alicante Chamber of Commerce, highlighting the importance of Tourism as a driving force of the Alicante economy.
This is the second award that Magic Costa Blanca has recently received, after collecting the award from the Alicante Family Business Association (AEFA) at the 29th edition of its awards in Benidorm.
The Alicante Chamber of Commerce wanted to involve companies and individuals in a great 'Night of Solidarity' in which the involvement of our province after the DANA was highlighted and the work of large companies in the area was recognized.
This year, in addition to the usual awards for business excellence in 2023, a special award, the 'Recognition of Solidarity', was added to recognize the work of the Armed Forces, the State security forces and bodies, and firefighters who continue to fight against the consequences of the DANA in the province of Valencia. During the night, the work of 'Cámara Solidaria' and 'Alicante Gastronómica Solidaria' was also highlighted, which have distributed more than 240,000 hot meals in more than fifteen affected towns, with the help of more than 5,500 volunteers and the contributions of more than 350 companies.
Javier García, vice president of the chain, wanted to thank the Chamber of Commerce "for allowing us to be part of a night in which, above all, the solidarity of all of Alicante and the work of thousands of workers and volunteers who continue to work tirelessly for Valencia has been recognized. Regarding the award for companies like Magic Costa Blanca, García pointed out that these awards "recognize, firstly, Magic's innovation in the family tourism market and the effort that a large team of people makes daily to create unique holiday experiences and add value to destinations such as the Costa Blanca and Castellón. On the other hand, it is an honor to share an award with companies that are a benchmark in the province in sectors that are key to our economy," added García.
